English Advanced I

Students will get the necessary knowledge in order to better understand themselves, each other, and the world they live in, challenging to not only understand their world but also engage in it by encouraging self-expression and active participation for authentic communication using all language skills.  Students are immersed in a topic that they explore from different curricular perspectives, using the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Students will study:      

Target vocabulary: to help students built fluency and confidence to discuss relevant real-world topics.

Speaking: that help students express themselves fluently,

Grammar: to expend grammar with explanations,

Reading: to promote comprehension and help students become independent readers,

Pronunciation: to help students better understand speakers of English and be better understood.
